Choosing the Right Print Size for Your Photos

One of the most common questions we get asked is: what size should I print my photo? The answer depends on where you plan to display it, the quality of your original image, and the effect you want to achieve.

Common Print Sizes Explained

6×4" (15×10cm) — The classic snapshot size. Great for albums, frames, or gifts. Works well for most phone and digital camera photos.

7×5" (18×13cm) — A popular choice for desk frames and small wall displays. Slightly more presence than a 6×4.

A4 (21×30cm) — The most versatile larger size. Works for portraits, group shots, landscapes, and artwork. Looks great framed.

A3 (30×42cm) — Statement size. Best for high-resolution images where you want real impact. Perfect for feature walls.

Check Your Image Resolution First

Before ordering a large print, check your image resolution. A low-resolution phone photo that looks fine on screen may look pixelated at A3. As a rule of thumb, you need at least 150 DPI at the intended print size.
